w/ Jennifer Smith Saturday, November 15th | 9-10am
Service Description
Now more than ever FOOD Banks need our support Join JenSmith for a free benefit Yoga class to support our local chapter of End 68 Hours of Hunger End 68 Hours of Hunger is a public non-profit effort to confront the approximately 68-hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school Friday and the free breakfast they receive in school Monday. I know it is hard to believe and face the fact that there are children going hungry in our own community but, the reality is that 6.4 million children in the United States face food insecurity, 13.4 percent right here in New Hampshire. End 68 Hours of Hunger is a nonprofit that works to help children who rely on school meals to stay nourished over the weekend. The chapter right here in Salem needs our help and support to stock their shelves and keep bellies full. Local programs are entirely volunteer-based. 100% of donations go to support ending food insecurity in your community. 95% goes directly to purchasing food and 5% goes to administrative costs such as insurance and state & federally-mandated requirements. Let's move, breathe and be in support of this mission When: Saturday, November 15th | 9-10am Where: Ritual Roots Yoga, Salem NH Please bring either a cash donation or item/ items listed below.
